Flatland Forge Clipping Hammers feature a hemispherical shape for striking punches and precise control when drawing clips.

The Yukon Forge Square Clipping Hammers is crafted from 4140 steel, which is known for its excellent strength and durability.   The steel is processed by machining, grinding, and heat-treating at Yukon Forge.  The process produces a very high-quality forging hammer you will use for years to come.

The hickory is shaped with heavy forging in mind.  The proper proportions are ground to give the hammer maximum control and forging power.   For the proper grip, the handle is burned and coated liberally with boiled linseed oil.  The hammer's eye is machined with a distinct hourglass shape to lock in the handle.  The handle is topped off over the eye with a hardwood wedge and metal wedge, both are glued in and topped off with epoxy.    This process gives the hammer the right grip and feel for heavy work.

The Grant Moon Ball Pein Clipping hammer's tapered ball allows you to make smaller or larger symmetrical clips, depending on how deep the ball enters into the web of the shoe. The flat face is slightly longer to set and draw clips easily, which is ideal for making strong symmetrical clips. 

The Derek Gardner Ball Pein hammer is a perfectly balanced with a tapered nose, which makes clipping easy. Every hammer is inspected and finished by Derek in person, which ensures each tool is ready for immediate use.

The Bulldog Clipping Hammer is hand-forged from 1045 steel with an ash or hickory handle and is 16 inches in length.

The Bloom Forge Signature Clipping hammer has a slightly wider face and the overall length from one face of the hammer to the other is less. There is more mass (weight) in the center of the hammer, as well as a customized handle with tear drop shape and smaller circumference.
