The Bellota Double Farrier Sledge Hammer is a double-faced 2.2 lb sledge for blacksmithing and forging. 

The Bellota 2.2lb Sledge Hammer is a short-handled Dutch-style hammer made from high quality forged steel with homogeneous hardening and tempering. It will not break, warp or wear. Equally reliable and safe: perfect head-to-handle fit. Features a PEFC certified beech handle and patented fibreglass wedge joint.

Jon's perfected the design of his sledge hammer over many many years. He has cleverly designed it so the flat end is far heavier so this hammer drops down in your hand. 

Machined from one billet of steel and harderned to pefection, Jon then hand finishes every one of them to his extreamly high standards, so you know your getting a fantastic hammer that will last and last!

Shafted on a 30" kiln dried top quality hickory handle.

The Bulldog Tool Sledge Hammer is hand-forged from 1045 steel with handles made from either ash or hickory.

The Bloom Forge 8 Pound Sledge Hammer is made from 4140 tool steel with a premium hickory handle.  All of the hammers are made in the USA in the northern Wisconsin region where Bloom Forge is located.
